Will Merritt is a native of South Carolina.  Will graduated from Clemson University in 2000 with honors and a degree in Communications.  While at Clemson he was a four year starter for the Clemson Tigers football team and received multiple ACC awards for his play as an offensive lineman.  Shortly after his playing days at Clemson Will became the color commentator for the radio broadcasts of Clemson football games, a role that he has had since 2003.  For over a decade Will also hosted a statewide syndicated sports talk radio show and speaks throughout the southeast at various events and functions.  

In 2004 Will was a founding member of Apex Development Group, which started his real estate development career.  Over the next few years Will and Apex Development completed a number of high-end residential communities in South Carolina.  In addition, Apex Development was a licensed general contractor and completed a number of residential and commercial/office builds both principally and on a fee type basis.  Will’s primary roles during this time were establishing partnerships and relationships with lenders and equity investors, as well as, managing the sales efforts for certain communities that Apex developed.  

In 2010 Will was integral in  the founding of Apex Property Investments, which was an entity formed for the purpose of developing senior housing projects.  As one of the managers of Apex Property Investments, he is primarily responsible for investor relationships, political relationships and utilizing his experience in development.  Will is involved in the day to day operations of Apex and is a key component of the management team.

Seth Henry is originally from Pennsylvania and earned his bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing Management in May, 1996.  He began his real estate career at Triad Construction, where he spent three years assembling real estate investments for the principles of the company.  Projects included residential, office and retail concentrations.   

In July of 2000, Seth was hired by Realticorp Real Estate Investment Fund located in Greenville, South Carolina. There, he was an active member of the sales team, and responsible for over 50 retail and office sites throughout the southeast. Rising through the ranks, Seth was promoted to a Regional Partner position in which he was responsible for overseeing all aspects of development from site selection through construction, implementation, and disposition of property.  

In August of 2003, Seth founded Mather Development Group.  Mather Development was both a principled developer and fee based development company.  While operating as Mather Development Seth has developed over 500,000 square feet of retail space and developed a number of residential projects.  In addition to the development side of the business, Seth has brokered over 50 million dollars of investment sales throughout the southeast.

In January of 2008, Seth merged with Apex Development Group as a partner in the business.  The crucial experience he provided with commercial and residential development elevated Apex’s foundation, and potential for expansion.  Apex’s current focus is in the area of Senior Housing and Seth’s primary roles are deal structure and negotiations, as well as, all finance related aspects of each project.  Seth also coordinates all aspects of a development project from site selection, design, financing and disposition.
